I feel privileged that you have taken the time to check out my space! Thank you.
Why Hire a Doula?
I think you already know why you want a doula don't you?
You want someone who you trust to:
Or you may have simply had a friend who had a doula at her birth and now highly recommends it, or you may have read stats saying that hiring a doula can contribute to a shorter birth.
Whatever your reason it is valid.
I already believe in you...you have everything you need to be the most amazing mumma. You are strong, capable and courageous...and I would love to meet you!
It is my belief that I have been called as a Doula for such a time as this, to support women like you, as you journey through one of life's incredible transitions - the miracle of birth.
This is my dream...to see women, regardless of nationality, background, age, culture or religion, empowered, enabled and thriving as they prepare for and go through pregnancy, labour and motherhood.

As I live in the New England it is my joy to be able to serve, (be Doula for) women from the region - Guyra, Armidale, Inverell and Glen Innes NSW.
I am an Australian Doula College Certified Birth and Post-Natal Doula.
In March 2023 I finished my training with BRM (Body Ready Method Training) and certified as a BRM PRO.

"...one visit and I felt like I had known Ruth for years...having someone who was there for all of your ups and downs and major challenges come and visit you is such a blessing, and a welcome contrast to all of the cold, medical, business-as-usual visits and meetings.
Your needs and state of mind are Ruth's sole focus...she remained grounded, made me feel supported, mediates and talks you through the whole thing no matter how long it takes. The best thing about having you as my doula was the way you knew how to make a space feel more comfortable...you helped me keep my sanity, reminding me to breathe...We would definitely seek you out again if we have more children."
"The very best thing about having Ruth as my doula was having a safe place to talk about my hopes, fears and goals, having someone consistent I could journey with in the process and having someone consistent who knows my faith and who I trust loves me without judgement - feeling safe.
My birth was so healing and redemptive and I believe a huge part of that was the confidence and belief that Ruth had in me from the start! During my labour I felt so cared for, championed, and respected."
"Ruth, I can't thank you enough for your love and support during my pregnancy. From the moment I met you at our first consult, I knew you would be a good fit for me. You were always a message/phone call away. You have a positive outlook on life which shines through. You went above and beyond with your communication to ensure I always felt supported."
" Ruth's support pre and post partum was wonderful. Having someone invested in your welfare, focused on making sure you are mentally prepared for such a big life event, and helping with the day to day afterwards was a real blessing. During labour Ruth really shone. Despite not being able to attend the hospital due to COVID restrictions, I am still so glad I had Ruth support me, and in the over 1 hour car ride to the hospital, I don't think I would have handled that even half as well without her!!! She has magic hands and a calming presence. When I was having a hard time, a chat on the phone really helped to clear my head. If you are thinking of getting a doula I say go for it!!! My husband is amazing during birth, he is very calm and capable but having Ruth really boosted my confidence especially when I would doubt myself...I would recommend Ruth without hesitation to anyone who is giving birth and wants to ensure they and their partner have the support they deserve.' - Pip
'The best thing about Ruth being with me, was the way she comforted me, and the encouragement I got from her made me feel that I could keep going.'
- Ash (First time Mum)
'Our experience with Ruth was wonderful. She was kind and supportive every step of the way, and an invaluable part of our birthing team. I can honestly say that I don't think we would have achieved our VBAC without her selfless service and constant, genuine encouragement. I know who I will be calling if we have a third!"
